Rural Social Welfare and Educational Voluntary Organization "Ahoraho" has been carrying out various educational and social development activities in the rural areas of Barak Valley for many years.
The organization made its debut in 1994 through a newspaper named 'Ahoraho'. In addition to publishing a regular newspaper, the organization is also carrying out various social programs such as celebrating special days, free health check-up camps, various awareness programs, etc. It has extended its hand in many ways during the flood and COVID period and will always be by the side of the people in times of danger.
In this way, along with social development work, educational work has been done to the best of its ability.
In December 1995, RNI registration was obtained and "Ahoraho" is being published as usual.
In July 2017, "Ahoraho" Foundation (Trust Registration) was done.
With the aim of expanding rural education, the organization has established many private primary education institutions in the villages of this region to facilitate the education of helpless students, out of which many schools have been government-run.
The objective of the organization is to provide free education in English-Bangla to the poor and hardworking people of rural areas, whose income is only enough to meet the minimum needs of the family and does not cover the cost of their children's education.
In addition, to make those who have dropped out of school or left school midway due to family, financial, social and other reasons self-reliant by providing them with appropriate education.
For this purpose, "Ahoraho" is making arrangements for those students to sit for examinations through 'Open Schooling' under the State Government's Secondary and Higher Secondary Board.
Currently, "Ahoraho" has taken authorization and affiliation from universities recognized by the Government of India and paramedical and vocational institutes. Applications have been made for government approval for various types of diploma courses.
The organization has long dreamed of establishing a private residential educational institution for the helpless students of the Barak Valley.
Accordingly, efforts are underway to arrange land and construct a building.
Classes of this residential educational institution will start from the upcoming academic year 2025-26. The admission process has started. In this situation, this huge activity of the organization is going on only by worshiping your help, cooperation and inspiration.
The organization has not received any financial assistance from the government or any government institution, MLAs - MPs etc. so far. Since the people are the only backbone of the organization.
Therefore, we humbly appeal to the people of all walks of life to extend their help and cooperation to make the dream of "Ahoraho" a worthwhile one. We appeal to the people who are passionate about education to cooperate in the initiative of establishing this residential educational institution in their own way. Remember one thing, this residential educational institution is being built only for those students who have given up their studies due to lack of money or are not getting admission in any educational institution due to lack of merit, even those who have not completed secondary or higher secondary for various reasons but are over the age will get the opportunity to sit for the examination in this residential educational institution. Hopefully, the education-loving community will understand the matter and extend a helping hand to realize the dream of "Ahoraho".
To make the talented students who have failed in education and medicine, that is, due to financial hardship or facing some kind of danger or any other difficulty, successful by providing good advice to achieve success (only 30 students will be given the opportunity per session. Two sessions a year). And similarly, to raise awareness for the recovery of patients with complex diseases who have failed in treatment (by consulting and taking medicines from Ayush and Homeopathy and Naturopathy specialists).
Especially to provide admission to paramedical courses according to the needs of students who have failed in net and to encourage them with basic courses.
